BW BIO

Bruce Burrows, or "BW" as he likes to be called, is the rhythm/lead guitarist and
sound engineer for MYMK. One of the founders of MYMK, BW has a very impressive
musical background. Working as a session musician in recording studios in Europe,
Nashville and Billings he has worked with some big guns but doesn't like to name
names. "That's old news, what can you do now?" says BW. He can play just about
any instrument with strings as well as keyboards and drums." I got my first guitar
when I was ten years old. I still have that guitar". BW's professional musical career
started when he played guitar in a bluegrass band on the radio in Annapolis, MD.
He went from there to country/western. He spent some time touring up and down
the east coast with a Nashville recording artist. "On the way to Las Vegas we
stopped in New Orleans, I got to get off the bus and sit in with a blues band at the
Brown Derby. That was a lot of fun." From there he went to Europe and ended up
recording in Bruxelles for a crooner named Andy Wells. "He sounded like Frank
Sinatra with a french accent". Then the European music scene was locked into
what we would call disco however technically not the same. After a couple years in
Puerto Rico with an USAF cover band, it was back to the south USA, Birmingham,
finally ending up in Billings, MT performing in at least three local bands before
starting MYMK in 2001. One of the most popular was Jodi Rae's band.

BW has his own recording studio where he has recorded some legends in rock n
roll like Hall of Famer Chan Romero. Chan still sometimes plays with the MYMK
band on special projects. He did some work session work in 2009 for Canadian
Music Hall of Fame inductee and former band member of the Stampeders Mel
Shaw. Mel Shaw is a music promoter in Nashville, TN now after hanging up his
guns. Writing and arranging the musical score for as many as 12 different horn and
string tracks and programming the sequencers from scratch are just some of his
talents.

BW also plays James Burtons' part, and arranges the music and stage for Spencer
Allen's "Elvis Lives" show. A tribute to Elvis, this show looks and sounds like a real
Las Vegas Elvis show. BW also plays Malcom Young's part for the MYMK TNT band
in the "Search for Angus" AC/DC tribute show.

"I've performed with so many bands and musicians I can't name them all. I've had
some really good times and some not so good times but I wouldn't trade them for
anything, they are priceless to me. I am extremely lucky to have a wife behind me
that supports me and lets me do what I do."
